My research interest lies at the intersection of strategic communication and science communication. At this intersection, questions emerge about the role of strategy in science communication as well as the dialogue between scientific institutions and society. I am curious about how scientific knowledge is transferred, perceived, and legitimized through communication.
This focus on the different facets of organizational communication developed during my Master’s in Strategic Communication at the University of Münster, which allowed me to specialize following a broader Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science at the same institution. Both of my theses were shaped by a reflexive approach to communication science and its different theoretical perspectives and traditions.
I look forward to the interdisciplinary exchange within the Department as well as the CDR SynTra2 project and the opportunity to conduct case studies focusing on the science communication of carbon dioxide removalas well as its perception and evaluation across different contexts. Grounded in interpretive approaches, I consider the Q method a promising tool for studying how people subjectively perceive and interpret science communication.
